Eyebrow threading
Threading uses a fine cotton thread to lift hairs out in lines. It is precise, so it is good for shaping and tidying, and it uses no wax or chemicals. Many people with sensitive skin like it for that reason.
Tell us if you use retinol or acne treatments, because skin can be more sensitive. Bring a photo if you have a brow shape in mind.
Waxing
We offer professional waxing for the upper lip, chin, underarms, arms, legs, back and stomach. Appointments run 20–45 minutes depending on the area.
- For best results, let hair grow to about the length of a grain of rice before your visit.
- Skip sun beds and strong exfoliating products for a couple of days before and after.
- Avoid hot baths, saunas and heavy workouts for the first 24 hours.
- Tell us if you use retinol, take acne medication, or have sensitive skin or a skin condition.
Before you book
Tell us when you book, or when you arrive, if any of these apply. We may suggest waiting or a different approach.
- Sunburn, or broken, cut or irritated skin in the area.
- Retinol, acne medication or strong exfoliating products.
- A recent cosmetic or skin procedure.
- Sensitive skin, a skin condition, or a past reaction to waxing.
First time having your brows threaded? Let them grow for a week or two beforehand so we can see their natural shape.
Aftercare and how often to book
- Keep the area clean and avoid tight clothing for the first day.
- After 48 hours, exfoliate gently to help prevent ingrown hairs, and moisturize daily.
- Please do not scratch or pick at the skin.
Hair grows in cycles. Many people rebook waxing every 4 to 6 weeks and brow threading every 3 to 4 weeks. If your skin is very red, blistered or sore, contact us and see a doctor.
Choosing your brow shape
We follow your natural shape and tidy around it. Tell us whether you would like a softer, fuller look or a more defined arch, and bring a photo if you have one. If you are not sure, start light. It is easy to take a little more away next time, and much harder to put it back.
Planning around an event or a trip
- Book brow threading two to three days before a wedding, party or photo shoot, so any pinkness settles.
- Book waxing a day or two before a trip or event rather than the same day.
- Avoid trying a new area or a new service right before something important.
