Fall and winter ideas
The colder months bring out rich colours and sparkle. A few looks clients ask for:
- Deep burgundy, chocolate brown or forest green with a glossy finish.
- Silver or gold chrome for evening events.
- Glitter fades that start at the tips and grow out neatly.
- A milky nude with a red or gold French tip.
- Small hand-painted details, such as snowflakes or stars, on one or two nails.

How to get the design you want
- Save up to three photos. Include one that shows the colours you like best.
- Tell us about your week. Typing, workouts, kids and gloves at work all affect the best length and style.
- Book the right service. Add art to a BIAB, Gel-X or acrylic booking and mention it, so we leave enough time.
- Review it with us. We will talk through colours, placement and shape before we begin.
Nail art terms, explained
- French tip. A coloured or white edge on a natural or nude base. A micro French is a thin line, and a double French adds a second line.
- Fade or ombré. Two colours blended softly together, often from the cuticle to the tip.
- Chrome. A mirror-like powder finish in silver, gold, pearl or colour.
- Glazed. A sheer, pearly finish that looks like a glossy glaze.
- Cat-eye. A magnetic gel that creates a shimmering line that moves with the light.
- Encapsulated glitter. Glitter sealed under a smooth top layer so it does not catch.
- 3D and sculpted art. Raised flowers, bows or details built into the nail.
Pricing and timing
Nail art is priced by the amount of detail and time involved. A simple accent costs less than a full set of 3D details. We will talk through the price with you at your consultation before we start.
Plan on at least 30 extra minutes for art. See the full price list for our base services.

Looking after your nail art
- Use cuticle oil daily. It keeps the skin around your nails soft.
- Be gentle with 3D pieces, charms and raised details. They can catch on hair and clothes.
- Do not pick at art or lifted edges. Book a quick repair instead.
- Wear gloves for cleaning.
